Antique Vintage B&B Ice Skates. Leather W/Steel Blades. Size 10 1/2

Description

This is a pair of vintage ice skates that I believe belonged to my grandfather...being sold AS IS.
They were very rusted and when I was searching for identifying marks ended up kinda cleaning
them up. I did find the B & B markings (think stands for Barney & Berry); a faint size, 10 1/2 etched on
top of
toe piece
where it connects to center rod; and the word "STEEL" etched on side of each blade.
The leather is still somewhat pliable. One of the straps has been replaced...it is fastened with
different rivets and
a bit longer than the other. (see pics. 10 & 11)
There are surface cracks on original strap and in heel cuff by the buckle. (see pic. 12)
Believe they are adjustable but didn't WD40 the metal as wasn't sure how lever, etc. worked.
Overall, they would be a fun addition to a rustic decor.
