THIS MACHINE HAS A SPEED CONTROL AND NOT A STITCH REGULATOR:
A SPEED CONTROL IS LIKE TURNING A KNOB AND THE MACHINE GOES THAT FAST AND DOES NOT SPEED UP OR DOWN. IN QUILTING YOU HAVE TO MOVE THE MACHINE STEADY AT A SPEED THAT WILL NOT MAKE "EYELASHES" UNDER THE QUILT WHICH LOOK REALLY BAD AND IT LOOKS LIKE A ROOKIE. SOME PEOPLE GET SO USED TO USING A MACHINE WITHOUT A REGULATOR THEY LIKE 15M.
A STITCH REGULATOR SPEEDS UP AND DOWN AS YOU MOVE THE MACHINE AROUND THE QUILT CREATING THE PERFECT STITCH WITH NO EYELASHES AND IF THE TENSION IS PERFECT THEN IT WILL BE PERFECT STITCHES.
