The large rice basket will cook rice perfectly or you can use it to poach meats and even fruits (like apples and pears) in.
This steamer is also perfect for cooking longer vegetables like asparagus, whole green beans and whole carrots in.
Use it to steam larger items such as artichokes and cabbage wedges.

This Black & Decker steamer has been used and does have some very minor scratches, blemishes, stains (on drip pan) and mineral build-up (in water reservoir) please see all pictures.
It also has a small ¾” stain inside the steamer basket and it could use a good cleaning inside and out before use (since it has been in storage) but it is in good working condition.
The minerals may dissolve if you soak the water reservoir in some white vinegar and then dilute with water and run it for a while.
The instruction booklet is also missing.
I’m trying to downsize since the children are grown so I’m passing the savings on to you.
