Tucker in 1893.  The Papillon, one of the oldest of the purebred toy breeds were quite in vogue on the Continent in the 16th and 17th centuries. It's large fringed ears that move much like butterflies fanning its wings derive the basis for its name, which in French means, "Butterfly".  This print is a joy to look at and would definitely be a wonderful addition to any art lover's collection!
